16/10/2010- It's October, and the first update of the year for me. Have been keeping busy recently with a various simoultaneous projects.
In the summer I completed some paintings in the restaurant at work, all painted directly onto the wall, using emulsion! That is a wierd way to work but the results are ok. One painting stretches the width of the restaurant, about 20ft wide and 8 ft high and is an Art Deco style design of a lady from behind looking in a mirror. Another is about 4ft wide and 8 ft high and is much more detailed, more of an Art Nouveau stlye, of a lady standing by a fountain with a statue behind and flowers and water bordering. There is also a third, smaller piece, another Art Deco painting of a skyscraper and sunbeams in various shades of blue. I will hopefully get some photographs of these soon to upload to the website.
Also since the last update I have been getting much more involved with the world of portraiture. I have been working from photographs from my cousins wedding in the summer and got some nice results from some experimental styles. A couple of my friends have just brought a new house and have asked for a portrait for their wall so that has been taking most of my time recently, this is a fairly realistic style and will be uploaded once they have recieved it...soon...hopefully.

31/1/10- Now the body clock is slowly adjusting to the slightly nocturnal lifestyle I'm living at the moment I am starting work on a couple of new paintings for the National exhibition of Wildlife Art (www.newa-uk.com/) in the summer. It will be the first time I've entered without the advice and guidance of college tutors along the way so I am interested to see how it goes.

12/12/09- Finally got the pond illustration to the Wildlife Trust a couple of days ago after a long wait trying to find time when we both had some free time. Failed in the end as we are both too busy so I passed it on via a third party. Yet to hear feedback on that one.
Got a new camera recently, a Holga!, so expect some new additions to the photography galleries in the not too distant future.

20/10/09-The painting for the Wildlife Trust is pretty much completed now. Really need to get on with another commission continuing my global warming theme. Also planning to do a Thai mural in a pub in Girton, just outside Cambridge, still in the thinking stage with that one though. Juggling all this with a new job and some tattoo designs for various friends, busy, busy, busy! But that's always a good thing.

10/09/09-I am currently working with the Wildlife Trust to produce an interpretation board for a pond in Burwell near Cambridge. Just completing the drawing stage so the painting will start asap.

09/09/09-Just begining to make plans for another group exhibition for 2010/11, possibly in Derby. Will keep updating as things progress.
